How long are appointments?
Intake sessions are 60 minutes and ongoing sessions are 55 minutes.
What do I need to bring to my first session?
Once you are scheduled for your first appointment, you will receive a welcome email with a link to initial forms that can be filled out online. You will be able to use this online portal ongoing for sharing any confidential documents and communications. Please also bring a copy of your insurance card.
Is there parking at your office?
Inner Resource Counseling is located in the heart of Lincoln Square. It is a 3 minute walk from the Western Brown Line Stop. There is metered street parking on Lincoln Ave. directly in front of the building or on Lawrence Ave. There is also a metered lot by the Lincoln Square Athletic Club on Lincoln Ave.
Does your office have an elevator?
The office is in a historic building and unfortunately does not have an elevator. If you are a parent with an infant, please feel free to request before your first session that your therapist meet you at the entrance to assist you with carrying any strollers or car seats upstairs.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled when needed. 24 hours notice is requested for any changes to the session time. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full fee of the session.
What insurance do you accept?
We are in-network with BCBS IL PPO and BCBS Choice plans. It is recommended that you call your insurance company prior to the first session to verify benefits.
What if you don’t accept my insurance?
If you have out-of-network coverage with a different insurance, you will receive a “super bill” which is an invoice that you can then submit to your insurance for reimbursement for sessions.
How much do therapy sessions cost if you aren't using BCBS insurance?
Intake 60 minutes: $160 ($170 starting 4/1/24)
Individual Session: $145 ($160 starting 4/1/24)
Couples Session: $155 ($160 starting 4/1/24)
Online Session: $145 ($160 starting 1/1/24)
Do you offer sliding/reduced fee options?
Sliding-free options are offered based on need. Please indicate when scheduling if you are interested in discussing a reduced feel option.
What forms of payment can I use?
Checks, Credit Cards (except Amex), Venmo, Zelle and cash are all accepted.
